Light of the World Charities is an organization made up primarily of volunteers from the health and medical community, who along with other concerned individuals provide health care to the poor and sick of the world consistent with the command of Christ, “to do for the least of my brethren.”
The organization regularly sends surgical teams to developing countries to help meet the medical needs of the poor. The organization has also brought individuals to the United States to have medical and surgical procedures performed.
Moreover, in order to improve the health infrastructure of an impoverished area, Light of the World Charities has completed a joint venture with the with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal to construct a new medical facility in Comayagua, Honduras called San Benito Jose.
Our goal is to send one surgical team per month to this hospital that also serves as a medical clinic in order to meet the needs of the poor all year round.
Light of the World Charities is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization recognized by the IRS.
