LOTWC regularly sends surgical and dental teams to
developing countries including Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua and
Tanzania to help meet the medical needs of the poor. Highly
trained medical professionals are desperately needed for each
mission trip. Typical mission trips last one week with the
exception of Africa, which involves a two week commitment.
All expenses from Miami are paid by Light of the World
Charities, except the mission to Africa, which requires
the team member to pay ½ of total expenses. All team
members are expected to help with each mission trip by
working with others on the team to gather all necessary medical supplies and by fundraising to off-set the cost of each trip.
Our goal is to notify all chosen team members 4-6
months in advance of each mission trip, hopefully giving
each member an opportunity to ask for time off work or
re-arrange schedules accordingly.
We invite you to share in the wonderful privilege of caring for the poor and sick in 2011 as we travel to Honduras, Nicaragua, Haiti and Africa! ALL those with a heart to serve and the willingness to be flexible are welcome to apply.
Occasionally circumstances beyond our control prevent us from giving this much notice, your understanding is most appreciated.
As much as we try to place team members that want to travel together on the same mission trip, it is not always possible, your
flexibility is appreciated.
Once your application is complete, please return it along with all supporting documentation, including any
certificates, licenses, diplomas (diplomas are required for Dr's only) and passport. We ask if you have the
capability to fax a colored copy in color that you do so to (772) 600-1941. If not, please either scan your documentation and
